People are literally dying in streets in DC because the DC government has not stepped up to challenge of building sufficient safeguards for bikers or pedestrians. It's a shame, because DC had a good start on its bike lane. It is not maturing fast enough. washingtonpost.com/opinions/dc-of…

(Back to work now. Yes, this bothers me. Especially when I hear groups organizing to fight much-needed bike lanes. Would you fight building a street to serve a neighborhood? Or a sidewalk? Bike riders need safe options too)
