Harris
Klobuchar
Warren
Booker
Gillibrand
(maybe Bloomberg)

In my view, already eliminated (no going back):
Schultz
Sanders
Gabbard
Moreover,
Beto should stay in Texas.
Biden can't win the nom.
Mayor Peter is too young.
Delaney nobody heard of.
Castro might be a dark horse
You'll notice in my lists above, I'm not really taking ideology or policy into account. And I don't think most voters do, because what matters is party, not the person. Yes, that's true even though we're talking about being president.

1. Nate Silver looked out this morning over the field of more than 20 Dem candidates who are vying for the party’s nomination and began chewing off his fingernails. He’s concerned the Dems will make the same mistake the GOP made when a madman ran down candidates to win the nom.

He thought the shut down would change Washington. Nope.
He thinks the president can take disaster relief money from CA and PR, plus money appropriated for family housing on military bases, to build a 100 mile wall.

Hard, cold fact: There is no way to finance the crazy socialist dreams of Democrats without taxing the hell out of the middle class and the people who create jobs for it. Any "relief" they pretend to offer is just a trick to set you up for when they grab your wallet later.
One reason leftists are so obsessed with statistics about how much of national or global wealth is held by a tiny group of super-rich people is they want to blind voters to the fact that taxing the middle class is the only way to get the money needed for socialist programs.
They labor to create this image of a few outrageously, unreasonably rich people sitting on vaults packed with the world's looted treasure to trick the public into believing huge socialist schemes can be financed by pinching a few gold coins from plutocrats who won't miss them.

My idea is the potential Dem nominees get together and come up with a slate that is presented from the very beginning. I'd throw @amyklobuchar in this mix as well. We need to have the best of the best in office ASAP to clean up Trump's mess that will be left when he's gone
In reality, Hillary Clinton would be the best person to clean up after Trump because she understands policy better than anyone but Republicans are nuts & she's done with us so ... next best idea is to avoid an opportunity for further disruption. We need stability & competency
