During the joyous celebration of Roger Stone's gag order, you may have missed important developments in his case.

This #SundayMorning we break down the latest from Mueller that gives a clearer picture of Stone's involvement with WikiLeaks & raises interesting questions.

(2) One thing that may have flown under your radar is that Stone's case has been assigned to the same judge (Amy Berman Jackson) that's handling another Mueller case—US v. Netyksho

That's because Stone's case is designated as directly related to that case

(3) This is where it gets interesting. Netyksho is Mueller’s indictment of 12 Russian intelligence officers for hacking Democrats’ emails during the 2016 campaign. In fact, Mueller's investigation of that case essentially led him to Stone.

(4) It's also previously been reported that Stone appeared to be trying to connect to WikiLeaks through an intermediary (Guccifer 2.0) but evidence that he'd colluded directly with WikiLeaks hadn't yet materialized when that scoop was published last year.

(5) For the first time this week, court filings indicate Mueller does have evidence that Stone communicated directly with WikiLeaks. Stone has claimed that the evidence is nothing more than a few direct messages unrelated to the Clinton email hack.

(6) The implications here are obviously intriguing. If Stone colluded with WikiLeaks to secure the release of the hacked emails, he would be the first Trump associate and campaign adviser to be directly connected to the hack.

(7) Meanwhile, Roger Stone is attempting to distract from all of this by doing what Trump & co do best. Stirring up conspiracy theories about fake news and villainizing the media.

(8) Another question Stone's indictment raises is whether the Mueller investigation is ending or just beginning. Today's subpoena of a Cambridge Analytica employee may indicate expanding avenues of investigation occurring on the collusion front.

(9) While Roger Stone may be under a gag order in this case, Mueller is busy doing all the talking through court filings. And there are still plenty of sealed indictments on the docket that could be related to the Mueller investigation.

(10) As Mueller followed the evidence that led him to Stone, did he also find the smoking gun connections to communication with the Trump Campaign? No one knows for certain.

In the end, there may be no report to refute.
Just a damning case built one indictment at a time.
