This #SundayMorning , Democrats are poised to get back to work and start digging into Trump's tax returns, collusion with Russia, emoluments, and violations of campaign finance laws.

But there's an area of investigation that hasn't been discussed yet.
Trump's cell phone
(THREAD)
(2) If you weren't aware, Trump and many members of his administration have played fast and loose with using personal cell phones for conducting national security business.

It's been a long-standing issue.

(3) There are many risks to using unsecured phones & evidence both China and Russia have already tried to leverage this breach of protocol to spy on the White House.

Yet, Trump has refused to give up his personal phone.
He says it's too inconvenient.

(4) Currently, Trump seems to have 3 iPhones. An NSA-secured iPhone for calls, another secure iPhone that can't make calls but has Twitter, and a personal, off-the-shelf iPhone with no added security.

Trump's supposed to swap them every 30 days, which he has refused to do.
(5) Trump is well aware of the risks, has received briefings that the Chinese are listening in, and has done absolutely nothing to secure his iPhone.

Trump is intentionally flouting national security for his personal convenience with zero remorse.

(6) The House Dems have lots to do when they return this week. They're opening a myriad of investigations simultaneously spread across 6 committees.

However, demanding an investigation into Trump endangering national security should be a priority.

(7) This is especially urgent since intelligence confirms China is listening into Trump's calls and the administration has argued Trump isn't a danger because he doesn't read the details of the in-depth briefings he's given.

That doesn't make me feel much better. How about you?
(8) @SpeakerPelosi has many things to worry about, but I'd like to add Trump's personal phone use to the list.

Graham has threatened to the open Senate investigations into Clinton's personal email server (AGAIN), so it's only fair we hold the President to the same standard.
