@PollyCHaag @tribelaw McConnell's behavior is, for me, the most telling evidence of something that will bedevil our politics long after Trump is disposed of. He's a radical conservative, committed heart and soul to the idea that 'ends justify means' in achieving conservative goals. +
@PollyCHaag @tribelaw Still more worrying is that he's shown he's only committed to the Constitution and rule of law when convenient for his cause. He is the true heir of those Southern Senators who, in the lead-up to Civil War, were actively subverting the Constitution in preparation for Secession. +
@PollyCHaag @tribelaw My belief is that McConnell knows that broad demographic and social change have already made the GOP non-viable nationally, and that the only course open to it is to subvert democracy. He is a saboteur and a revolutionary, bent on permanently altering our form of government.
