I’m sure there are some previous examples out there. but I’ve been monitoring campaign coverage for 20 yrs and this simply not an angle reporters pursue week after week after week.
is it possible that Klobuchar’s behavior is so extreme, so unprecedented and off that charts it demands news attention? sure it’s *possible.* it’s also possible a double standard is being applied

Over the last few days, it's become clearer and clearer to me that, without intervention, coverage of the 2020 campaign is likely to be a disaster for everyone except Trump and his core voters, who want to watch it all burn anyway. In this thread I describe the danger I see. 1/
By "disaster for everyone," I mean all candidates opposing Trump, journalists themselves, voters from all sides (except those who have exited from the news system by merging with his hate campaign against the news media) and anyone who seeks the repair of American democracy. 2/
Start with the simple fact of inertia. In ruins after the debacle of 2016, the horse race model and "game" schema that have instructed campaign journalism for at least 40 years are up and running again. It appears the bosses have no better ideas, and no will to develop them. 3/

Yes, Twitter is full of hate and lazy sarcasm and mobs of morons and all that. But over the last few days I've watched people on here, from across the spectrum, incl Leavers, grapple with the deal, show what it means, and exploring their conscience about how to respond.
Whereas what I've seen on TV and heard on radio is mostly just angry shouting and the standard Westminster psychodrama coverage.
It's actually quite startling, when you spend a few hours on here, watching the TV news and seeing how basic and noisy and misleading it is.

1. Russian deal
2. India Statement on Iran oil
3. No rate cut by RBI
4. Uday Kotak on ILFS board
5. Tightening NBFC
6. Chanda Kochar left ICICI

Indian markets & even currency should cheer sooner than later. #optimist #investor
If stocks can fall 20-30-40% in day, they can rise 30-40-50% also in a day. Can be an interesting start to the week. Finishing my write-up soon...watchout for words from one retail investor :)

7. Trump unhappy with Fed rate hike - In my view, Fed rate hike and trade war can impact US economy in more bad than good.

Another positive for Indian markets.

Macros should start turning soon in favor of India like low oil, better INR and hence better markets
