Me : Labour has never ruled it out. There was always a process to be followed that was agreed at conference. If Labour cannot win support along the lines it has proposed then a 2nd referendum is always possible.

X : But you're against a 2nd referendum or remaining?
Me : Yes. But Labour is a broad church and my opinions will sometimes be in the minority in that broad church. As I've said many times before, getting Labour into power under Corbyn is far more important to me than Brexit.

... I make no bones about the fact that I'd prefer both i.e. Labour in power under Corbyn and brexit. In fact I find a reasonable compromise for brexit to be EEA / EFTA but whatever the outcome, we need to change the balance in society. That requires a new Gov.

X : So you would sacrifice Brexit for a Labour Government?
Me : If forced to choose between Brexit or a Labour Gov, I would vote the later. If forced to choose between being Happy or Prosperous, I would vote the former. In both cases, both would be good.

... Labour is following the policy set out by conference and is trying to seek the best possible brexit. This is what was agreed, the compromise which was accepted. If it cannot achieve this, then of course, all options are to be considered.

However, in terms of preference I'm rather simple, in order it is ...
1. Labour + Brexit
2. Labour + Remain
3. Others + Brexit
4. Others + Remain
