When the EU has FTA & seasonal deals with countries like Mexico and South Africa to ensure year-round supply of 0-tariff food to UK customers.
yup, including food, clothing, footwear - allowing them to compete with more developed countries.
And, no - a bit of subsidy won’t fix it.
As EU tariff barriers go up- UK exports like British sheep meat into France will be replaced by other countries & that will be incredibly hard to get back.
