On @BBCr4today, an Airbus representative explained why no-deal is damaging to Airbus’s place in the UK.
He is then followed by an interview with ERG MP David Jones who explains why Airbus is wrong about Airbus.
Can we just keep these looney politicians off air?
If you cannot see the danger in that, then I’m not quite sure what to say.
@BBCr4today
I don’t advocate “no platforming”.
However, it’s a simple case of “who platforming?”
We’ve been here before: an industry rep has explained their industry circumstances on the BBC - and then the BBC have invited a politician to undermine them 1/x
Firstly, what industry reps would want to go on the BBC? -if they are not media performance experts and they know that everything they say in good faith is going to be attacked by an experienced politician? (However ignorant)

Imagine if, at school, everything you were taught was then immediately negated in the next sentence or paragraph.
It would obliterate your ability to build solid understanding.
That’s what BBC ‘balance’ does.

That’s not actually how it works - especially not for complex understanding (and v limited time). It can often be the catchiest soundbites that prevail.
