In search of good rice pudding so I am going to Bayonne for the first time to see if I can find some.

So this is what it's like to have car, frivolous trips in search of nostalgic desserts. Wish me luck.

Almost too Bayonne, there is a reason the city is the personification of the proverbial docks in mafia references. Hopefully, they have good rice pudding down at the docks.

Just got to the Lighthouse Resturant in Bayonne, for some rice pudding. Have to start someplace.

Oh, I'm excited. This looks exactly like the type of place that will have some good rice pudding. Classic NJ diner.

I just spoke to the waitress to confirm they have rice pushing and they do! Not only that, but as she walked she said "its homemade and good too!"

This is going to be great.

We love this place so much we decided to extend our rice pudding search ans have a late lunch. Choose some diner classics a greek salad and a tuna melt.

I feel sorry for people in parts of the US without a wide variety of local diners.

Holy Bayonne cannoli, that salad was so huge, I just got it to go to save room for the real reason I am here, RICE PUDDING.

I picked this place completely at random since it was only a 15 minute drive and they had Rice Pudding. But wow, the homemade rice pudding at the Lighthouse Diner in Bayonne is some of the best I've had and I've been eating diner rice pudding for 30 years. Creamy and delicious.
