Here is a good example of why Twitter sucks:

Rubio has been working for months+ to try to help bring freedom to a country being decimated by a brutal socialist dictator starving/killing his own people. He has almost single-handedly helped shift U.S. policy on Venezuela. 1/
Almost every Venezuelan I've talked to is grateful. They wish for freedom for their people, and see him as doing everything he can to help them achieve it (though they are leading the effort themselves).

He's tweeting almost hourly updates on what is happening.
Now a bunch of people who have completely ignored the plight of the Venezuelan people and Rubio's commendable efforts instead chose today to take a very uncharitable reading of one of his tweets and attack him for it, while they continue to ignore things that matter.
It would be one thing if these were just random trolls on Twitter, but many of these people are alleged journalists with large accounts.

I'll take your concern about Rubio's tweet seriously when you express some concern for the starving Venezuelans you want to abandon to die.
P.s. Way too many people still do not understand the meaning of peace through strength. It does not mean endless wars. It means having and showing the strength that makes more wars far less likely.
P.P.S. just so people understand extent of what Rubio has done and how long he has been working on this, senior Venezuelan officials were planning assassination plots against him all the way back in 2017: politico.com/story/2017/08/…
Easy test: Go search one of the big accounts that was attacking Rubio today (for what they interpreted as inappropriate advocacy of mob justice against murderous dictators) for how many times they've tweeted about the horrific actions of Maduro.

I'd bet it's 0 for 99% of them.
