Many on the left are taking a real issue (AGW), applying ridiculous alarmist rhetoric to it, and then using that to justify an extreme unrelated agenda which won't actually solve the problem.
Equivalent on the right would be if people said we will turn into Zimbabwe in ten years if we don’t drastically cut spending today. Then demand the government immediately get rid of all spending on abortion, significantly cut entitlements, cut the department of education etc.
