A People's Vote is almost certainly doomed, for 2 reasons:
A) There isn't the support in Parliament for it
B) If Theresa May's deal gets voted down again - which it has to, to get as far as the People's Vote option - then what in the world goes on the ballot? Can't wing it again!

I wish this weren't the case, but one of the most important lessons of Brexit is to learn to look at the world as it really is, not as how we would like it to be. And the reality is there's only one scenario that might - just might - lead to a PV, and that's Labour supporting
Theresa May's deal in return. But that relies on a stack of assumptions a mile high, the most important of which is: can we really *really* REALLY trust Theresa May to keep her word on this? Because she's never done it before. So why should we imagine she will start now?
And remember, as things stand, there are just 25 days left. Twenty five! So there's no time to build consensus for a PV one step at a time, because we basically only get one step.
