"The sitting president of the United States financed an illegal cover-up from inside the White House…The president hosted a foreign leader in the Oval Office, then wrote a check. He haggled over legislation, then wrote a check. He traveled abroad, then wrote a check." So damning
This really shows the absurdity of DOJ policy NOT to indict a sitting president. The greater the evidence of criminality, the greater incentive a criminal POTUS has to stay in office. Trump may seek a 2d term as a result. Why EVER leave if being POTUS prevents legal exposure?!
🤯Trump paid #MichaelCohen $420,000—monthly checks—throughout 2017—signed by Jr, Weisselberg, sitting POTUS
+$130,000 to reimburse payment to keep Stormy silent
+$50,000 to manipulate online polls to inflate Trump’s business reputation
+$180,000 for Cohen's taxes
+$60,000 #bonus
🔥@NicolleDWallace: Trump played POTUS by day, wrote checks in spare time. Not even the top story! Because today #MichaelCohen gave Congress docs w/ EDITS—by Trump lawyer Sekulow—to false testimony about Trump pursuing Moscow Tower while running for POTUS.
🔥NEW: #Giuliani sent 2 lawyers to #MichaelCohen after FBI raid “to keep him in the tent”—urging Cohen to stay in joint defense agreement and remain loyal to Trump. They also offered Plan B: They’d join his legal team and ACT AS CONDUIT TO TRUMP’S LAWYERS abcnews.go.com/US/lawyers-cla…
🔥 #Giuliani claims privilege. Investigators tho are looking into whether communications from these 2 lawyers reportedly sent by Giuliani to #MichaelCohen were intended to influence Cohen—a potential witness against Trump—or to implicitly dangle a potential presidential #pardon.
😂 This is kinda everything: #Giuliani’s 2 lawyers sent to #MichaelCohen— to “urge” loyalty to Trump—recorded their communications & contacts on their billable hours! Giving SDNY (& Mueller?) a nice roadmap to follow a conspiracy to aid and abet POTUS’ #AbuseOfPower. Allegedly😁
#Giuliani Says Lawyers "Sought" Trump Pardons for Their Clients, confirming Cohen's account of pardon discussions. (Rudy wouldn't admit it if it was Trump's idea b/c dangling a pardon would be yet more abuse of power & obstruction of justice by this POTUS) nytimes.com/2019/03/06/us/…
