@presidencymv faces an existential crisis from climate change. Now we're talking extinction, refugees, rights, in ways we can't imagine.

Visions from climate models and sweat lodges converge on need for movement in face of crisis.
The world is different now.
#justtransition - a key plank for linking climate and labour movements - is being co-opted by forces friendly to the populist base and fossil fuel industry.
And current inequalities are nothing compared to the impacts of a 4oC world.
But we need to build the broad movements needed to counter fossil fuel industry.
This feeds into the #greennewdeal discourse
But above all, we need to be prepared to get #uncomfortable, preparing for a different world.
There could have been a time when economic growth delivered welfare to many
But now such growth causes as many problems as it solves, and is highly concentrated.
But many people are stuck on growth as a reflex - even Labour unions.
So what is the politics of creating such a platform?
