The idea that Democrats are showing fear or a lack of press openness by rejecting Fox is silly. And journalists making this argument are being silly themselves. Hosting a debate isn’t a matter of press access. It’s an institutional collaboration.

3/ debate is bizarre. Why not have the Wisconsin GOP run one of the Democrats national debates? It’s more comparable than you think. It would be fine to have say Chris Wallace as a questioner or even moderator for a debate.
4/ But to have Fox as an organization do one is bizarre.
