"LIVE WITHIN YOUR MEANS"
Nigerians live in a country we all agree can and should be better, for several years we've got chances to re-direct the ship of the Nigerian state and we've chosen to do the same thing over and over while expecting different results.
#Thread
A country where majority of its people live in extreme poverty, a condition a former member of the House of Reps Hon. Obahiagbon referred to as "A vast majority of Nigerians still continue to vacillitate between exorbitant enthusiasm and irrational irritability..."
Now the same citizens that have continued to bear untold hardship while doing their best to remain alive are being admonished by the C in C(Culprit/s in Chief) to exist or rather "Live Within Your Means", excuse me, the Nigerian people have always lived within their means
and that "means" has progressively dwindled over the years, this sermon is at best nonsensical for a people ravished with the level of lack we're currently witnessing in the land. This talk of living within your means should be reserved for the elite and their wards but the
Problem with that too is that the elite both "in" and "out" of power but especially those in power like the C in C(Culprit/s in Chief) cannot differentiate between personal "means" (purse) and national "means" (purse), for him and his acolytes, for them the tradition for many
years even before now has been national "means" equals personal "means" and that hasn't necessarily changed instead the difference these days is that it has become more surreptitious and covet.
The duty of government is to create wealth and prosperity for the Nigerian people
by creating enabling environment for businesses(goods and services) to thrive, this would in turn lead to the expansion of the "means" of the citizenry.
For me, I think the time for TALK is over, it's now time for WORK
