Are people really shocked and awed that Tucker Carlson is a stupid, racist, misogynist punk ass bitch or is this just more of the same feigned outrage about shit we’ve already known about Fox “news” and the people who watch it for decades now? 🤷🏾♀️
Seriously, the joke is on you if you ever thought anyone who works for Fox isn’t a tool of the White male supremacist machine, and that includes the ones who manage to sound relatively sane and all the token people of color.
I don’t have to hear what Fox folk say off camera for clarity bc the shit they say in front of it is illustrative enough. If the end result of these exposes isn’t a reckoning w/how America persists in passing blatant fascism off as “fair and balanced” news, we’ve learned nothing.
How about we put Fox’s predominantly White viewership under sustained negative scrutiny instead of pretending they’re the forgotten/misunderstood/sympathetic/downtrodden for a change? Confronting media sponsors doesn’t tamp down demand for the hatred Fox supplies its audience.
The bottom line is still that America’s allowed a fascist network to propagandize/indoctrinate the White community for over 20 yrs and the result is Trump, today’s GOP and record breaking prevalence of hate groups/crimes. All that toothpaste can’t be squeezed back into the tube.
It may feel momentarily vindicating to expose Tucker Carlson and possibly get him removed from the network, but then what? Bigots like him come a dime a dozen and they’ll have no trouble replacing him. As long as the *whole network* is on the air fascism/White supremacy are too.
Fox is a neurotoxin and menace to public mental health, it’s already done severe damage to America’s national psyche and social fabric. We’ve reached stage 4, Trump is confirmation of the metastasis and Tucker is a tumor among millions.
