This article has some good info on Trump's data driven 2020 campaign led by Brad Parscale

But how can article on Parscale the digital director NOT mention Cambridge Analytica once?

Or the Russian troll farm & vast social media manipulation in 2016?

What's so infuriating is the focus of profile on Parscale describes how large, well-funded & efficient Trump's 2020 campaign is - operations merged with the RNC to harness even more power - and the campaign is DATA DRIVEN

CY VANCE & NEW NY STATE INDICTMENTS ON MANAFORT — JUST A SCAM? (THREAD)

As @maddow would say, I’m not a lawyer. (Not even in the ballpark.) But I do know our Manhattan DA, Cy Vance, and his shady, Trumpy history in NY.

So indulge me while I posit this theory.
2/ Cy Vance is indicting Manafort on some of the exact charges brought up federally: Mortgage Fraud and Conspiracy. Even down to some of the same bank loans.

NY State has a stringent Double Jeopardy statute, beyond any federal protection, which does not allow for this.
3/ In 2012, Vance inexplicably put a stop to a 2-year investigation of the Trump Org.

He ordered his prosecutors to drop the case.

At the same time, he was *receiving reelection donations* from Trump’s lawyers.

The NY DA charged Manafort with 16 counts of Residential Mortgage Fraud and conspiracy to commit fraud. He falsified business records to illegally obtain millions of dollars.
1/ While we don’t learn much that’s new about Manafort, the larger picture comes into sharper focus.

This indictment reinforces what we’ve seen elsewhere: While managing Trump’s campaign, Manafort was brazenly breaking laws.
2/ Fourth and Fifth Counts (mortgage fraud) allege that the crimes occurred from Dec. 22, 2015 until August 18, 2016.

Manafort joined the Trump campaign on March 28. He resigned on Aug. 19, 2016.

BREAKING: The Manhattan district attorney’s office is preparing state criminal charges against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort to ensure he will still face prison time even if Trump pardons him for his federal crimes.

The New York D.A. began investigating Manafort in 2017 but deferred the inquiry so as not to interfere with Mueller’s case. They resumed their investigation recently and a state grand jury is expected to wrap up and vote on charges in coming weeks.
