1. You hit what you were aiming at, and *only* what you were aiming at, and it was the right person
2. You hit what you were aiming at, and *only* what you were aiming at, but it was the *wrong* person
4. You hit what you were aiming at and it was the *wrong* person *and* you hit a bystander
6. You miss what you were aiming at and hit a bystander
So as you can see, 5 of 6 results are not good. In public places, those odds bear out and we see it in headlines every day. Even among trained marksmen like cops.
