Legal question: if the FBI has a warrant for emails/communications pertaining to certain matters, but during the search process happen to also see several other items that would be evidence of other crimes, would that be considered “plain view” and/or fair game?
@DirkSchwenk @lauferlaw asking in the context of the Cohen search warrant and the fact that they had them during a time period when all kinds of interesting things were happening, including SARs leaks.
Another question (thank you for indulging me): when executing the warrant, they don't necessarily need to go to Michael Cohen and say "Hi! We're going to look through AAAAALL of your email now!", right? Could they go directly to Google and get access?
