Saw @hasanminhaj latest episode on the Indian Elections twice now. Basically it is a standard LW world view of BJP & RSS. I thought they'll actually present something I did not expect. But it was pretty much the usual stuff one hears. This will be easy to dissect on my podcast.

And I also found it funny in parts. His jokes were good (if you get American humour). But obviously he's going to peddle a particular political opinion. That opinion will be presented as the gospel truth because that's how all left wingers are. Their view is the truth lol.

Looking at the outrage I thought it must be something outrageous. But it's actually pretty much the usual stuff everyone says all the time. Honestly I was disappointed. I was expecting more. But one has to respond because it affects BJP leaning folks living in North America.

Just think about it, you work in North America and a huge contingent of Indians work in the tech industry. Now this guy makes an episode where he compares Hindu Nationalists to the American White Nationalists. Now Hindus until now have been sharing their views on social media.

But post such an Episode many Hindus working in the tech industry could face troubles. Remember, the entire American Tech Industry is full on SJW. They fire non left leaning folks for no reason. & if Hindu Nationalists are presented as Muslim haters those Hindus are screwed IMHO.

Also, Hindus can kiss good bye to the brown skin card. They do not qualify in the American Oppression Olympiad. Because Hindus are the richest freaking minority group in America. So sorry Hindus ain't gonna work for y'all. So don't tell me to ignore this episode.

I have to respond to this because I freaking care about this shit. Hindus don't need this extra burden on them. The community should rebut it at their own end too. I'll do what I can with my tiny minuscule podcast. North America is my 2nd home. It always will be. I like it a lot.

There is a narrative presented about Hindus globally. Hindus still get told what, how, who they are by outsiders by & large. & all of this is interconnected. Suddenly the world is seeing Hindus getting bold. Many can't handle it, many don't like it. So they draw false conclusions

And I disagree with many things in the Hindu movement. I find it reactionary myself. But that doesn't mean I'll let someone compare Hindus to freaking white nationalists and get away with it. My conscience won't allow that. It is unfair and ridiculous at multiple levels.
