NextLevelGist -> Rail Up Nigeria -> A Thread

■ The #NextLevel plan is to develop the Lagos - Ibadan Rail Line from Iju to Ebute Metta and then to Apapa...Inside the Apapa Port Complex a 5km of Standard Gauge Rail will be constructed.

■ Train Stations along the the entire journey from Apapa Port to Ibadan will be completed.

■ There’s going to be an Inland Container Terminal around Moniya in Ibadan (where Lagos - Ibadan Rail Station will be) in effect cargo from Apapa will be carried by rail to Ibadan and processed there.

■ From April there will be freight services from Apapa to Kaduna Inland Port ( Read More: ob360media.com/news/nigerian-… )

■ Itakpe - Warri Rail is to be extended to Abuja, fantastic for us in SS, I can eventually travel an hr by road from Benin to Aladja in Warri board a train all the way to Abuja, you can even continue by rail all the way to Kaduna.

■ Construction of Train Stations on the Itakpe - Warri corridor will be completed, it will be a Passenger/Freight Rail Line, for more visit: ob360media.com/infrastructure

Following are next level and beyond but all pending on availability of funds

■ Kano to Daura, Kano to Maiduguri, Makurdi to Jos, and Jigawa to Niger Republic.

■ Port Harcourt - Maiduguri Railway line is also a next level plan and beyond...It will cut across six states; Imo, Anambra, Ebonyi, Gombe, Adamawa and Yobe...South East will get spur from Owerri through Nnewi and Awka and then from there to Abakiliki.

■ The mother of all Railway projects for me will be the Coastal Railway line from Lagos to Calabar with stops in Ijebu - Ode, Ore, Benin, Sapele, Warri, Ughelli, Otuoke, Yenogua, Port-Harcourt and Uyo...

...You Can imagine that at some point I can travel by rail all the way from Benin City to Kaduna via Warri and Abuja.
