Some of you get upset whenever I point out that MSNBC and CNN are misleading you, because you enjoy watching them. But I originally went into political journalism because of how inaccurately MSNBC and CNN were covering the 2016 election. Someone had to push back with the facts...
What we're seeing on MSNBC and CNN tonight is some of the most intentionally and grotesquely misleading coverage ever. They're falsely equating "no more Mueller indictments" with "no more indictments" to scare/outrage you into staying tuned in, when they know better...
Adam Schiff & Richard Blumenthal, who know a lot more about this probe than anyone on TV, both called in to MSNBC and tried to set the record straight about indictments. MSNBC cut Blumenthal off mid sentence so it could keep pushing the "no one else will be indicted" narrative...
MSNBC and CNN know that if they tell you SDNY indictments are likely once Mueller's report is public, you'll turn off the tv until after the report is public. You'll go to the beach instead. They have to find a way to keep you glued to the tv, so they're scaring you into it...
I can admit to you that we won't know anything for a couple days, and if you don't read my articles between now and then, I don't mind. But cable news has huge operating budgets. They can't afford to acknowledge anything that might prompt you to go watch basketball instead...
It's not that MSNBC and CNN are reporting fake stories, like Fox News. They're not. They just take real stories and spin them in whatever direction will keep you tuned in 24/7. Sometimes that means spinning in misleading directions....
Remember when MSNBC & CNN spent a year saying Mueller was about to get fired? Remember when they spent six months saying everyone was about to get pardoned? Remember when Hillary was going to be indicted over her emails? Nonsense like that is why Palmer Report has to exist...
Cable news has its place. Some of the hosts are actually quite insightful. But it's television, so you have to view it all through the filter television's own inherent need to keep you tuned in at all cost. On days like this, cable news is about as "real" as the Apprentice...
I have a lot of people emailing and messaging me right now who think the sky has fallen, it's all over, and Trump has magically gotten away with everything. My advice to them all has been the same: just turn off your television and everything will be fine...
Some folks are so lulled into thinking that every word spoken by an MSNBC pundit is fact, it doesn't even matter to them that they heard House and Senate leaders involved with the probe calling in to MSNBC and trying to set the record straight. And that's scary...
When the Mueller report and the real story surface in a few days, everyone will be so relieved at how bad it is for Trump, it won't even occur to them that MSNBC and CNN purposely misled them. So there's never any accountability for this kind of misleading cable news nonsense...
I'm not saying this to arbitrarily beat up on MSNBC and CNN. I'm saying this because I want MSNBC and CNN to be more honest about these kinds of things. If they were, Palmer Report would be unnecessary, and I could retire :-)
