Just watched “The Accountant”. We beg you, writers ENOUGH WITH THE BACKSTORIES. Spare us the tedium. There were walk-on parts with convoluted sad pasts. There were flashbacks to the flashbacks. It was like a series of mediocre audiobooks interspersed with Affleck shooting people.
Hollywood has clearly ran out of backstories, so how about from now we all ASSUME there’s some trauma involving a girl with flowers in her hair, laughing in overexposed slo-mo AND/OR a child in a war zone the hero thought carried an explosive but -oh no- it was a MaDonalds furby.
