While the Commons was grabbing attention yesterday, look at the amendments the Lords has made to the Trade Bill (this is from a legal update service).
In essence: hard commitments to no customs checks at @borderirish; instruction to negotiate approximation to free movement as the “mobility framework” referred to in the PD, anti no-deal provisions;
provisions requiring the U.K. to try to remain in the EU medicines system (this was actually passed by the HoC - so I think it’s now unremiveable); maintenance of food labour and environmental standards in any future FTAs (hard to reconcile with a US deal);
and a requirement for Parliament to approve, and the devolved governments to be involved in, all future negotiating mandates for FTAs. (The provision which I think a huge majority of MPs now realise should have gone into the Article 50 Act.)
