Hahahahah right now on the Senate floor @SenMarkey is complaining about having to vote on his own "Green New Deal" resolution.
"We can save all of creating by engaging in massive job creation" ... but he's voting "present" on beginning debate???
It's the Koch Brothers!!!!!

You can't parody this guy because he is the parody.
"The denier in chief sits in the White House!"

Vote... "present"?
"We can do this. We can deploy these technologies. We can create new technologies. We can do this because we are bold. The president is John F Kennedy in reverse. He says we cannot do it. Ladies and gentleman, the Green New Deal is accepting this challenge!!!"

"Present"?
"An existential threat to our planet."

So, naturally, abstain from the vote to begin formal debate.

You know what's fraudulent, NYT? Single-word quotes. I'm sure in context Steve said the IRS falsely, ridiculously called his garden variety mistake so bad they were pretending it was fraudulent. But you can't make an actual quote look bad, so you go with a single word. #FakeNews
The Dems/media/GOPe attacked @StephenMoore for a week for not having a PhD even though Paul Volcker, like Steve, is a masters economist -- and Jay Powell has a bachelor's in political science and a law degree.

Then they moved onto BS about his divorce and an IRS audit.
What they DON'T want to talk about is his fitness for the job, because then they would have to debate whether the Fed should consider commodity prices and whether Steve was right about the December rate hike being a mistake. (He was.)

Greg Mankiw, the guy bashing Steve, was previously best known for getting the Bush White House in a mini-crisis when he said call center jobs moving to India is "probably a plus for the economy in the long run."

Surprise, it's because Steve doesn't support a carbon tax or income redistribution.

I’m no fan of Feinstein, but when you watch the WHOLE video — not just the excerpt — of her meeting the climate change kids it’s actually a pretty nice visit, and Feinstein says she may even vote yes on the Green New Deal resolution. See thread below with the entire video.
The way they edited the video, it looks like Feinstein walks out and yells at the kids and then leaves. That’s not what happened. It was a 15-20 minute visit that went pretty well. I watched the whole thing. This kind of editing reeks of James O’Keefe. Who did this?
Wait, so it was Ocasio-Cortez’s campaign staff who made the doctored video of Feinstein — a video that doesn’t look nearly as bad when you watch the entire thing — to make her look bad, à la James O’Keefe’s Project Veritas?

1) By the end of the Green New Deal resolution (and accompanying fact sheet) I was laughing so hard I nearly cried. If a bunch of GOPers plotted to forge a fake Democratic bill showing how bonkers the party is, they could not have done a better job. It is beautiful. #GreenNewDeal
2) See Ron Bailey for look at sheer number of turbines, solar panels, facilities necessary just for the "renewable electricity" bit. Wud need 500k square km, bigger than California. Also note, govt will pay for these--not private sector. reason.com/blog/2019/02/0…
3) Also, AOC would put charging stations "everywhere," upgrade or tear down "every building" in the country (homes and businesses), install high-speed rail across every state, upgrade all our infrastructure. (Maybe once Ds allow permitting reform? LOL. LOL. LOL.)
