Trump tells Hannity, extremely inaccurately, that you're only allowed to launch an investigation "legally" if there is a crime. "There was no crime," he says, obviously not mentioning Cohen, Manafort, Gates and Flynn.
Trump on either Page and Strzok specifically or the investigation more broadly: "It was treason. It was really treason." (Treason has a definition, and this is not it.)
Asked if he'd consider pardons for Flynn or Papadopoulos, Trump says, "Many, many people were hurt, incredibly hurt, by this whole scam." He says Flynn had a great record in the military. He adds, "I don't want to talk about pardons now, but...it's so sad on so many levels."
Trump: "It's a very, very dark period, and maybe we're shedding a lot of light. We're going to come into a bright, sunny day."
Invited by Hannity to bash the media, Trump says people like Rush Limbaugh, Mark Levin, Laura Ingraham, Jeanine Pirro and the Fox and Friends crew were very fair.
Trump: "Nobody has been tougher on Russia than me." He says even his enemies say that. He enjoys claiming that even his enemies are acknowledging important positive things about him.
Trump didn't immediately seize the opportunity to bash the media. He started talking about Russia, how wind energy doesn't work, how he's negotiating with China, and how the economy is good.
Trump promises "incredible health care that the Democrats, frankly, wouldn't know how to do."
Trump calls CNN “so fake, so horribly fake,” and also bashes MSNBC. He says he’s pleased their ratings were very low last night and Hannity's very high. He tells Hannity, ”That’s because you have credibility.”
Trump continues to lie that NBC deceptively edited or shortened his comments to Lester Holt about the Comey firing.
Trump is now claiming, I think, that he, like everyone else, knew that firing Comey would make all of this a bigger story. He has repeatedly claimed that he thought he'd just be praised by both parties because everyone hated Comey.
Trump says "you can say it's a crime" that Rep. Adam Schiff made false statements about him and collusion. (You can, but you would be wrong.)
Trump, extremely inaccurately, on Russia's views of him and Clinton during the election in which Russia backed and committed crimes to help him: "They were sort of for and against both (candidates)."
Trump lies that using BleachBit to delete emails, as Clinton's team did, is "a very expensive process." It is free software.
Trump says a Clinton presidency would have been better for Russia than his, since, under Clinton, there'd be no domestic fossil fuel industry: "There'd be no oil. There'd be no gas." There would have been oil and gas.
Trump has moved from calling the investigation a failed "illegal takedown" to calling it a failed "Illegal takeover," suggesting that his enemies were trying to perpetrate a literal coup.
Trump: "I was the most innocent human being."
Trump says he was very innocent, but looking at Mueller's biased team, he didn't know if he'd get in trouble anyway: "I wasn't exactly sure what they - maybe they'd take a sentence from here and a sentence from there..."
Trump asked about declassifying FISA-warrant materials: "I have plans to declassify and release, I have plans to absolutely release." He says his lawyers didn't want him to do it before. "We got a great result without having to do it. But we will."
Trump is again saying Bill Clinton's airport conversation with Loretta Lynch needs to be investigated. "What did they talk about?" He says Clinton definitely lied when he claimed he talked to Lynch about playing golf in Arizona. "It's a little warm at that time of year for golf."
Trump says former CIA director John Brennan is "a sick person" and that "there's something wrong with him." He adds, "Either sick or there's some other problem."
Asked for specifics about how many miles of border wall have been repaired, Trump says, "We repaired, I mean, literally, many many miles. I could give you numbers, but many many miles."
Trump says the barbed wire the military has erected on the border isn't mere barbed wire, "it's essentially barbed wire plus."
Trump again argues that the government should talk about migrants "captured," not "apprehended."
For the 20th time, Trump falsely claims that San Diego was begging him to build a wall there. San Diego's Republican mayor opposes the wall. Its city council held a formal vote to express its opposition.
"We're building massive, many, many miles of wall, right now," Trump lies. No new miles have been built, only replacement or reinforcement fencing.
Trump says other countries have people on the border with machine guns, ready to fire on migrants. He adds that he wouldn't want to do that: "It's a very effective way of doing it, and I wouldn't want to do it."
Many Republicans, including Hannity, are calling the Green New Deal the "New Green Deal."
Trump says the "New Green Deal" could cost $100 trillion, and "that means it's more money than you have in the WORLD." He says he doesn't want to disparage it because he wants to campaign against it. He says he regrets killing Elizabeth Warren's chances so early.
Trump: "I was very honored to do the Golan Heights." He falsely claims that "many, many presidents" campaigned on promises to recognize Israel's sovereignty over the Golan. None of them did.
Trump: "Devin Nunes is someday going to be hailed as a great American hero."
Asked about how to stop malicious Russian cyber activity, Trump criticizes Obama for his handling of the Russian activity in 2016, then talks vaguely about "major, major treason," then asks why Obama didn't do more in response to Russian interference when he was informed.
Asked again by Hannity how to thwart Russia this time, Trump turns back to 2016 and says "they had zero impact on the election of 2016" and no impact "on votes."
Asked about his legal effort to get Obamacare voided in its entirety, Trump says, "We're gonna have great health care." When Hannity asks if pre-existing conditions will be protected, Trump says, "All included. We're gonna have pre-existing conditions, absolutely."
The interview is over. Hannity is now pre-emptively defending his decision to just let Trump ramble, saying he believes in letting interviewees just share their thoughts without "gotcha" questions. The end.
One Trump quote I couldn’t catch live: “I will tell you this about Russia. If they had anything on me, it would’ve come out a long time ago. Probably a long time before I ran. Because they would’ve been better off, much better off.” (Because he’s so tough on Russia, he says.)
