If we can't agree a deal we want:
1. We ask for an extension
2. If the EU says no there's no time for a referendum so
3. Parliament chooses between either (1) No Deal or (2) Revoking, with a commitment to a public inquiry into what we want and a possible further notification
Signatories include @joannacherry, Dominic Grieve, @vincecable, @CarolineLucas, @heidiallen75, @LSRPlaid, @rushanaraali and many, many others. Please ask your MP to add their names, for voting on on Monday.
There is a really serious, genuine democratic case to be made for this motion - and even for revoke with the mandatory process that follows. Have pitched this to a couple of broadsheets and hope I'll be asked to write it.

There is a majority in the country for revoking Article 50 and a majority against No Deal (mailonsunday.co.uk/news/article-6…).
If Article 50 is revoked - a far more likely possibility than the opinion formers in the media are telling you - there needs to be a process for trying to address the democratic deficit it creates. I have drafted such a process and large numbers of MPs are publicly supporting it.
Yes, it creates a democratic deficit. But let's be honest: so does every other option, including a public vote and the Withdrawal Agreement.

But the process in the Motion - ie a public inquiry followed by a possible referendum - does one important thing no other option does.

According to Transparency International @TI_EU, the lobby organisation that has held the most high-level meetings at the European Commission between 2014 and 2018 is @BusinessEurope.

/2 strengthening the regime instead of weakening it. I have to ask a few questions, which are always up for discussion. The author claims at the beginning of the article that outrage alone cant be a policy from which to expect any useful results.
/3 Its clear that to execute these sanctions across all sectors, without a formulation of a real political vision, is a breeding ground for the propaganda of the regime. In this thread, I have also made aware of it.
