But the process in the Motion - ie a public inquiry followed by a possible referendum - does one important thing no other option does.

We have failed to create public spaces in which different Leavers can talk with care and honesty, and be heard respectfully, about what they want.
This is a sour caricature of reality. There are proper and genuine concerns about the 2016 referendum and what followed. Leavers need to engage with them, thoughtfully.
And we can listen.
