More evidence that topics like Customs Union and single market are poorly understood by politicians (thread)
1) of course Ireland doesn’t get to determine the customs policy of a Cu with the EU, the EU does.
2) and you can have a CU without the single market. You have to follow Single market rules if you want to be in the SM, CU rules if you want a CU
3) None of that means that you have to do either of course. Pros. Cons. But to weigh them you have to understand what these concepts mean.
