The Parliamentary Standards Commissioner’s investigation into Keith Vaz remains suspended on medical grounds. It says that he is too sick to face scrutiny over offering illegal drugs to male prostitutes. But he can still vote, and does. (2/5)
Fiona Onasanya is a convicted criminal and liar. Her party won't have her. She's out on a tag but still serving her sentence. But she can still vote, and does. (3/5)
Highlighting these two votes alone, when our decisions are being made by single vote margins, might be thought to demonstrate how important it is to hold MPs to standards. (4/5)
But maddest aspect (?): Onasanya's sentence is served with conditions, agreed with National Offender Management Service. One condition presumably being OK to be in London to vote. So a single officer in Prison & Probation Service may have determined UK next steps on Brexit. (5/5)
