I hadn’t realised that @NickBoles had called Clegg and Ed Miliband “a nauseating double act” for suggesting the Norway Option in Oct 2016 calling it a “spurious” bid to “frustrate the referendum result”.
3/ I think many of us who would have reluctantly accepted a Norway model as an undesirable but least worst option early on had realised by then there was no point.

We were repeatedly abused and it was obvious that an FTA & bugger the GFA was the response

WILLING to deploy 10k riot police to quell food & other shortage riots for a NO DEAL that most MPs and public reject, but are UNWILLING to deploy them to curtail the criminal activity of Pro Brexit activists.

My grandfather, Herbert Nussbaum (1910-1970) was the son of a prosperous merchant in Dortmund, Germany. In 1937-8 he got into trouble fighting brown-shirts, and his father was advised to get the boy out of Germany.
Herbert and a friend made their way to Holland, presumably because that’s where they could get to. Not sure whether crossing the border was illegal, but working in Holland almost certainly was. But they had little money and no way out of Europe.
They spotted a Jewish name on a factory, and lied their way into the owner’s office by claiming to be his relatives. When they got to see him, they said “we’re Jews and we need work”, and he hired them, again presumably illegally and under false names.

The FBI took a key witness who helped them take down a Russian spy...and turned him into a Russian spy himself to get a FISA warrant. In other words, they LIED about Carter Page:

He was working FOR the FBI helping them build a case to prosecute.
