Wouldn’t it be great if colleges and universities ( in sanctuary cities) make some dorm rooms available and create a 90 day English and skills program for all the immigrants trump will dump at their cities soon?

After getting hit by a hurricane twice, having her roof destroyed, no running water and relies on neighbors to bringher water, an elderly woman in Puerto Rico got her food stamps cut from $197 a month to $101 a month. Because trump thinks Puerto Rico gets too much money.
TODAY:
580,000 rely on food stamps and live belownthe poverty line, TWO YEARS after the hurricanes.
Puerto Rico needs $132 billion to rebuild.
( yes that is how much damage was inflicted on this island). Congress allowed $11B. Fema $4 B.
Dems in the house pulled a $14 billion aid package, the senate sat on it, trump refused to approve it.
But
He is shifting funds from every agency for a wall.

thinking about crypt of the necrodancer again because i think it's the coolest game idea in history
all that many of us ever really wanted out of games was to do a fight where we look cool and powerful while perfectly synced to a rad soundtrack and nothing else has ever attempted that so crypt wins by default. it's also very good
lots of games have great music but none of them try to make sure your hits land on the beats and that's why no game has ever gotten five stars from every reviewer

One proviso to keep in mind: my work explores how nations leverage the mere latent potential to produce nuclear weapons as an instrument of coercion. I focus on when nuclear technology - not operational nuclear forces - provides the most coercive leverage: dx.doi.org/10.1080/096364…
Since North Korea crossed the weapons threshold during the Six Party Talks, I would point you toward the extensive lit about relative bargaining power among nuclear weapon states and the logic of arms control.

Al-Biruni as we all know, was a major Central Asian intellectual of his time born in present day Uzbek territory - a man who accompanied Mahmud Ghazni on his many raids in India between 1017 and 1030 CE
While Al Biruni was a man of many talents he is best remembered today for his account of India that he wrote circa 1030

Being Indians we have every right to be skeptical of Al Biruni’s writings. He was after all a Mleccha, and a companion of Mahmud - an infamous iconoclast.
But nevertheless, his book is a fairly thorough outsider’s view of North India as it existed circa 1020 CE and can give us great insights on what India was like just before the onset of Muslim influence
