HI. I need an app or website or SOMETHING that I can look up a movie to see if it is transphobic before I go watch it so I can save from harming myself, my wife, my 15 year old and anyone else who gives a damn. Maybe stating WHY it is transphobic for folks to learn something.
I deal with memory making issues and can't keep track of all of them. No you know what, let's just call the app/site "Your Favorite Movie is Problematic" and list all the things wrong with it and why -Racism, Bigotry, Homophobia, Ableism, Classism, Islamophobia, misogyny etc.
(side note, what are all of those called? Google isn't helping. Like my brain thinks there is a word for all of those isms and phobias...is there?)
We could do it for all forms of media, books, songs podcasts, plays, websites and on and on,
I mean isn't there already one for movies that have pets die in them or something? SO like it isn't a trip to mars, to get the thing done right?
And this wouldn't be about just TW's or CW's in general (since that is what ratings are semi for), but more what the content is and why it is harmful to which group of people.
I have no mind for the appy website-y things...so someone needs to do this. And if they already have, please to be pointing me in that direction.
