From healthcare to housing to wildfires to immigration, we’ve spent our first 100 days focused on the biggest issues impacting our state, while standing tall against a federal government hostile to California’s values and interests.

CA has always been a shining beacon of hope for the nation. Now more than ever, we’re front and center—substituting for leadership at a time when our president has abdicated it.

Taking care of each other. Showing courage when it matters most. That’s what we do. It’s who we are.

Everyone should have access to quality, affordable healthcare.

Everyone should be able to afford a place to live with dignity.

Everyone who comes here for a chance at a better life should be treated with respect.

And California is leading by example.

With the White House laser-focused on destroying the ACA, my first act as Governor was to lay the foundation for a single-purchasing system—which will save millions per year for the people of California. We will never waver in our pursuit of guaranteed healthcare for all.

People across our state can’t afford a place to live, and fixing this problem begins with housing. I committed $1.75 billion to build and incentivize housing, so communities across our state can do the right thing. If we want a #CaliforniaForAll, we need housing for all.

With the president intentionally making things worse on immigration, California is refusing to play any part in the political theater coming out of Washington. We will continue to provide shelter to all who need it and sanctuary to all who seek it. California is for everyone.

At my inauguration, I told you we will offer an alternative to the corruption and incompetence in the White House. Our government will be progressive, principled, and always on the side of the people.

The problems we face are as hard as they come and decades in the making. But I truly believe we have the tools to solve them. We have so much left to do, but I believe in our state, and I know the best is yet to come.
