BREAKING: The #MuellerReport is here. You can finally read all 448 pages of it—with redactions—right here: 1/ wired.trib.al/dnA5uPP
This moment is nearly nearly two years in the making. Then-acting attorney general Rod Rosenstein appointed Robert Mueller on May 17, 2017, in the wake of President Trump’s contentious firing of FBI director James Comey: 2/ wired.trib.al/pwgFefK
Since then, Mueller and his team have issued 2,800 subpoenas and nearly 500 search warrants. They’ve interviewed 500 witnesses. They’ve won in court against former Trump campaign chairman Paul Manafort: 3/ wired.trib.al/fQ3LYoD
Mueller’s team has scored guilty pleas from former Trump fixer Michael Cohen: 4/ wired.trib.al/hKc9LUU
And they’ve exposed Russia’s disinformation campaign during the 2016 presidential election in astonishing detail: 5/ wired.trib.al/v28nVRU
Mueller’s team has also indicted 12 Russian intelligence officers for their hacking and attack on the 2016 presidential election, including hacking the DNC, the DCCC, and former Clinton campaign chair John Podesta’s email account: 6/ wired.trib.al/ED15sjs
In fact, much of Mueller’s work has been hiding in plain sight, across thousands of pages of court documents. He’s told you most of what you need to know already: 7/ wired.trib.al/sXVc71H
The report will hopefully answer questions raised by AG Barr’s four-page summary. Example, Mueller wrote that “while this report does not conclude that the President committed a crime, it also does not exonerate him.” What evidence did Mueller find? 8/ wired.trib.al/5KZHgqY
Another thing we’ll be looking for: On what evidence does Barr base his “concern” over the initial investigation into the Trump campaign’s orbit? And how liberal was he with his redactions? 9/ wired.trib.al/F24b0za
Some of those answers will be in the report. Others won’t. The important thing to remember is that, no matter how you interpret its conclusions, the hard part has only just begun: 10/ wired.trib.al/MpMC2Hj
And one thing to remember: There are still more than a dozen related cases on Trump that continue to play out in the Southern District of New York and beyond. 11/ wired.trib.al/FFQ152R
We’ll have more on the Mueller report as we dig through it (as well as continuing to follow the ongoing investigations). Subscribe to our daily newsletter so you don’t miss a story. wired.trib.al/Iv67krf
