Federal district court judge in Montana rules today that Trump admin/Ryan Zinke illegally revoked an Obama-era moratorium on new coal leases on federal lands, as it did not evaluate impact of this reversal. But lifting of moratorium stands for now, until court considers next move

This complaint filed today is the second related to activities of Barry Zekelman, a billionaire from Canada, who has intensely lobbied the Trump administration to push for limits on steel tube imports--boosting his sales and profits in a VERY big way. Here is the other complaint
Both of these were filed based on our story detailing lobbying effort by Zekelman Industries--which included a $1.7 million donation to America First Super PAC, a Trump-affiliated group & a private dinner with President Trump & Don Jr. at Trump hotel in DC nytimes.com/2019/05/20/us/…

FOREIGN DONATION TO TRUMP CAUSE? So what are the rules, when it comes to contributions by foreigners to elections or SuperPACs in the United States? They are very clear. And very strict. Here is the language from the Federal Election Commission.
If you look at the donor list to America First Action, a SuperPAC that is pushing the Trump agenda, these donations show up. It makes this company, which does not have much of a national profile, among the biggest donors to this Trump cause. Who is Wheatland Tube?
So who owns Wheatland Tube? Zekelman Industries. And who owns Zekelman Industries. CEO, President and biggest owner, according to an SEC filing, is Barry Zekelman, a Canadian citizen. So company controlled by Canadian has donated via a United States LLC. (These docs from S1 FYI)

This is the report the Trump admin cited to justify rescinding the Obama-era order requiring annual disclosure of civilian deaths from out-of-warzone counterterrorism airstrikes and commando raids, though this report omits CIA drone strikes. nytimes.com/2019/03/06/us/…
DOD's official civilian bystander/collateral damage numbers for 2018 are:
Iraq & Syria: 42 deaths and 7 injuries.
Afghanistan: 76 deaths and 58 injuries.

Libya: 0 deaths and 0 injuries

Trump cult: Please stop citing Christian values as you support this cruelty. You make a mockery of the religion you claim to fervently follow. You know dang well this isn't how Jesus wanted us to treat each other.
As one who attended Catholic grade school all 6 years, I had the Bible and Jesus' words drilled into my brain. What the zealot "Christians" are espousing as religious values on people who are "different" than you - immigrants, LGBTQ, etc. - is a far departure from The Word.

U.S. District Court Judge Timothy Kelly is ordering the Trump administration to immediately return the White House press credentials of CNN reporter Jim Acosta. He is a Trump appointee.
CNN had asked that Acosta's credentials be returned while a lawsuit over their revocation goes forward.
