FOREIGN DONATION TO TRUMP CAUSE? So what are the rules, when it comes to contributions by foreigners to elections or SuperPACs in the United States? They are very clear. And very strict. Here is the language from the Federal Election Commission. 
If you look at the donor list to America First Action, a SuperPAC that is pushing the Trump agenda, these donations show up. It makes this company, which does not have much of a national profile, among the biggest donors to this Trump cause. Who is Wheatland Tube?
So who owns Wheatland Tube? Zekelman Industries. And who owns Zekelman Industries. CEO, President and biggest owner, according to an SEC filing, is Barry Zekelman, a Canadian citizen. So company controlled by Canadian has donated via a United States LLC. (These docs from S1 FYI)
Zekelman, in his own biography on his company website, says it this way. He is "responsible for all aspects of business." Company gave me different explanations as to how this donation took place. At one point Zekelman said he was consulted. Other times, told he played no role.
