Let's hope that Congressional Oversight Committee has the bandwidth to focus on GA and its crying need for fair election systems. All going the wrong way at the moment. 1/ thehill.com/blogs/congress…
2/ Voters in GA and elsewhere need to stop waiting on Congress to solve these problems and start in their own counties, with their own local officials. In almost every county in the US, local officials can solve the major issues without a big budget.
3/ Hand marked paper ballots along with audits are a solid defense against hacking by Russians or the local miscreant. Almost all counties in US can count by optical scanners that they already have. Or can buy more w/o much expense.
4/ Most county boards have the authority to initiate and conduct audits. It doesn't have to be so complicated and expensive to make some real progress. Waiting on Congress is not a good idea. Reminder from March 2018. usatoday.com/story/opinion/…
