1/ THE REST OF THE STORY. Comparing the Mueller Report to the Schiff Russia Report shows a notable instance of Schiff advancing a false narrative.
2/ The Schiff Report highlights a May 10, 2016 email from Paul Erickson to Rick Dearborn. Basically, Erickson tells the Trump Campaign that he can use his NRA connections to cultivate a “back channel” to the Kremlin. Looks bad. docs.house.gov/meetings/ig/ig…
3/ The Schiff Report continues to say that on May 17, 2016, Dearborn forward this request to a number of campaign officials including Jared Kushner. The backchannel is Russian Central Bank official Alexsandr Torshin. Erickson says Torshin carries an offer from Putin to meet w DJT
4/ In the MUELLER REPORT, we find out that on the very same day – May 17, 2016 – Kushner forcefully shot down the idea. “Pass on this … For now I think we decline such meetings … Be careful.” Why didn’t Schiff mention this at all? (Mueller Report 116/448) [end]
