BREAKING: The court in our long-running lawsuit to end NSA mass surveillance has dismissed our case. We are disappointed that the court ruled against our clients based on the government's state secrecy arguments. eff.org/document/jewel… This is a screenshot of the first page of the order in the case.
The American people deserve to know whether mass surveillance is legal and constitutional. Instead of deciding whether the NSA's activities are illegal, the court deferred to the government's state secrecy arguments, trapping our case in a Catch-22. eff.org/deeplinks/2019…

Excellent question. Adjuncts are on semesters contracts and get paid by the class. Their job security is low, pay is bad, they’re overworked (often teach at several colleges to make ends meet), no health insurance, often no office space or protection in university system.
Lecturers/Instructors/Professors of Practice are step up, usually on multi-year contracts and full employees with benefits. Next is tenure track. So the original thread by @JMNR alludes to idea that colleges moving toward more disposable labor is headed down a destructive path.
There are probably another 15-20 ways adjuncts are exploited labor but Twitter only gives me 280 characters. Anyhow, it’s a known problem to academics who don’t turn a blind eye. Public could use a lot more awareness though.

Remember the Massachusetts explosions that happened just as Hurricane Florence was bearing down on the east coast?

A criminal investigation was launched Nov 1, last year.

It always rubbed me the wrong way that WSI Corporation in Andover, Mass (now Weather Company) was evacuated due to the threat from the explosions on a night with an incoming hurricane - they provide data, analysis + support to NOAA/NHC, if I recall correctly...

I want to go ahead and talk about logic for this rally.

1. In a bear market, any pump would be to dump harder, which has been the case throughout this past year. All of the past rallies were achieved via Bart patterns, signally a lack of real buying volume.
However, we can clearly see that this most recent rally was achieved via pump + organic buying volume. We had consolidation instead of retrace throughout the rally, price moves that mirror moves of 2017.

So why are volumes coming back?
Without change in fundamentals, any serious pump would be to liberate trapped higher-up positions and a colossal waste of money for the bulls. Bulls won't be stupid enough to blast through many critical resistances allowing higher-up positions to exit.
