1. I REGRET TO INFORM YOU THAT FACEBOOK AND THE TRUMP CAMPAIGN ARE AT IT AGAIN

Facebook is allowing the Trump campaign to run false and misleading ads with impunity

2. Yesterday at 1PM, I contacted Facebook and flagged dozens of ads from the Trump campaign that falsely claimed Democrats are advocating "a repeal of the Second Amendment."

This violates Facebook's policy against "false and misleading ads."

3. At 7PM Monday, Facebook confirmed that it had received my question and promised to get back to me. I had given the company a deadline of 10PM.

By Tuesday morning, I heard nothing from Facebook but all the ads that I had flagged were marked "inactive"

4. It's unclear if the Trump campaign did this voluntarily or, like the hundreds of ads I flagged last week, Facebook forced them to take the ads offline

5. We were told that, on Facebook, 2020 would not be a repeat of 2016. But that's exactly what is happening.
