I make my living as a trader. Since 98 I have traded my own money. Along the way I have had a coach(Mickey Hoffman)and a mentor(@whitewavetrader) who saved my career. I became a very large NQ pit trader. I have enjoyed great success as a trader. I have had a ton of experience
I have traded through 2 bear markets and also many corrections. I have traded through he biggest change in the history of trading with the move from pit trading to screen trading and made the transition successfully. Not without a LOT of ups and downs. I learned how to survive
The lower points of my career. After divorce and a series of business and clearing firm failures I started over again. Trading a small account and going back to basics of what I was taught in 98 and what made me a successful trader. I stuck to the basics because they work.

I have seen some of the most talented and knowledgeable traders completely blow their accounts up as well as their lives. It ALL starts with 1 trade. Then the spiral happens. I have seen it over and over again. Hell-I have done it myself. Traders who have made millions and lost
every nickel of it. I mean MILLIONS!! 1 trade starts that downward spiral. Then they leave their lane and then nobody can talk to em. FYI some have made it back, most haven’t. Find a process that works for other traders and for you. That doesn’t expose you to too much risk
And that shows you how to execute and manage your positions so you not only preserve your capital but provides you with maximum profit potential as well. Execution is everything in trading. Position management is key! It’s not talked enough about and not taught enough.

I’ve always been very disgusted by my birthday. And despised it very much. And for a longtime, I thought it was a me thing and something I just had to accept as a thing.
But as my birthday gets closer & since this is something I’ve been working on in therapy, I realized recently that this is less of me thing & more of a my-narcissistic-dad-never-failed-to-throw-tantrums-&-have-meltdowns-on-my-special-day & now I am filled with dread every May.

Especially for #InternationalWomensDay2019 a thread about how most women don’t pay for their education and how men subsidise them entirely. Some of the technicalities of this thread are UK-specific so not applicable to other countries.
The vast vast majority of women who enter higher education receive their education entirely for free, while men have no way out from student loans and tuition fees. This is without even considering the huge number of scholarships and grants that are only available to women.
To understand how an entire gender is subsidised, we need to go all the way back to school. Education at all levels favours women due to female teachers & teaching methods and anti-male bias. Thus, girls easily achieve the grades needed for their already dumbed down uni courses.

1/ The big tether tweetstorm: I get asked about tether constantly by reporters, investors, fellow fund managers, etc. I've avoided saying anything direct in public because I have no clear information.
2/ First the caveats. I have no clear information. I bring nothing new to the table in the discussion, all I can provide is how I've tried to make sense of the info I have. I also have a conflict of interest in that BlockTower is investor/adviser to Trust Token, a competitor.
3/ What questions are we trying to answer: Is tether collateralized, and if so, is it fully backed by USD or by other assets? Is the printing of tether always in direct response to new USD inflows or is it a 'slush fund' of some sort?
