Thanks to @NikkitaFTW's hard work on Code Sandbox, I've had the chance to compare @sveltejs and @reactjs on a small app. Here are my thoughts as a React fanboy...
Firstly, bundle sizes were closer than I thought they would be, ~420KB for the React app and ~320KB for the Svelte app. I suspect most of the size comes from Tone.js though.
The reactive `$:` syntax of Svelte looks weird but is insanely powerful. You can have a code block run each time any of the dependencies change without having to figure out what those dependencies are.
React has taught me that closures are harder than I gave them credit for. Also, having to `useRef` to keep a persistent reference to an object around caused me a lot of head aches. It makes sense, but it tripped me up.
Svelte is the first framework that I've used since picking up React that genuinely blew me away. In this example, writing an app in Svelte was a lot easier than writing an app in React. YMMV.
Will I be changing to Svelte going forward?

Not for any larger projects and not in work. The React community is still massive and so many patterns have already been solved in React that it is going to be a hard sell to get me to switch.
I can't wait to see where Svelte goes and I really hope React and the wider #JavaScript community can learn from all of the amazing features Svelte has.
Here are the apps that I built. First, React:

Here it is again in Svelte:
