I typed up a few posts yesterday and they were so ANGRY that I deleted, walked away, decided to try again later. I did this a few times. And then... I decided, FUCK THAT. I am ALLOWED to be angry because this is utterly infuriating.

Yesterday, it was all over the news that the Trump admin announced a new rule that would give health care providers permission to decline a patient in need of services based on their moral or religious beliefs.

For months, members of his administration have openly spoken out that they would fully back this nonsense because "for far too long health care practitioners have been bullied and discriminated against because of their religious and moral convictions."

HEALTH. CARE. WORKERS. HAVE. BEEN. BULLIED. (WUT??)
I just fucking can't, y'all.
Now that this is in effect, I have some questions, Mr.Trump:
Does the first rule -- "Do no harm" not apply to religious healthcare workers anymore?

Considering they are now allow to do direct and dangerous harm just because they don’t agree with someone’s religious or lifestyle choices. If a drug addict comes in and is overdosing does that mean they won’t get treated either because drugs are basically a sin?

If someone is raped is that something a healthcare worker can turn a blind eye to and send them out the door because that rapist has done something morally wrong?

What are the statistics of health care workers who commit suicide based on their consciences being SO entrenched in guilt and shame because KEEPING PEOPLE ALIVE went against their moral high ground? You know, because of all the "bullying."

How many have turned to suicide because they just can’t take any more of the pain that comes with treating people in actual life or death situations when they really felt they shouldn’t have to… because GOD {insert a HUGH fucking EYE ROLL here, please} Is it 50%?

Because the transgender community is living with that enormous statistic looming over their heads EVERY. GODDAMN. DAY. And this EXACT rule is only fueling the scary stats even more.

My child is five. Does this mean if he walks into a hospital with a broken leg he’s going to walk out with a broken leg because his genitalia doesn’t match his preferred pronouns? Where’s the line in the sand? And what the FUCK does his leg have to do with it???

Are we going to let kids die of things like strep throat because we won’t give them the antibiotics they need since their gay parents are defiling our pure and innocent religious beliefs?

You know, the ones that let us now basically murder and then hide behind them like scared puppies who peed on the rug. Not like criminals, oh, no.
You DO realize this is going to give people who are supposed to be “doing NO harm” the means to KILL, right? Or are you that stupid?

One more thing, Mr. Notmypresident, what happens when you’re dying of a fucking stroke because one of your BIGLY basic-grammar-and-spelling-error-infested offensive and disturbing Twitter posts finally sends you over the edge and someone refuses to treat YOU?

Because I can guarantee there is at LEAST one LGBTQ+ person on staff at every medical center in this country who would claim that your lifestyle and beliefs HIGHLY offend theirs. What then, Mr P.? You going to be "ok" with them denying YOU treatment?

Are you going to back them up on their moral pedestal because they’ve been “bullied for far too long” to support assclowns showing up in MAGA hats that completely go against THEIR beliefs and moral compass? I bet you didn’t think that one through, did you?

This entire country is a religious melting pot. This doesn’t just affect LGBTQ folks (although let’s be honest Trump, that was your goal, wasn’t it? Targeting the LGBTQ community and women as a whole has been your goal all along, we can see that pretty clearly.)

THIS. EFFECTS. US. ALL.
This is a dangerous, medieval and slippery slope and I’m disgusted and outraged and if you care at all about your freedom to believe as you see fit AND your right to medical treatment just like any other asshole in this country, then you should be too.
