Honestly, people can mock her all they want, but what she has been able to accomplish on this issue in a relatively short time is incredible. She has not gotten nearly enough credit for her efforts.
She also got a lot of crap from people who pretend to care about these issues for her and Kanye reaching out to Trump, but none of this would be possible if they hadn’t gotten the admin to push the First Step Act. Serious props.

Right. Iraq was also a British mandate in the early 20th century. The kingdom later gained their independence.

That was the same plan for Israel. But certain leaders were unwilling to accept a Jewish state. That's what led to the war in 1948 and everything that followed.
The Arab states could have accepted the UN partition and there would have been no displacement. Palestinians Arabs would have had a state. Instead, they invaded and lost. Jordan annexed what remained of that state and Egypt took Gaza.
The history isn't as relevant because we must deal with the reality on the ground now.

But from the start, this has been about certain Arab leaders being unwilling to accept a Jewish state. Which happens to also match Tlaib's position. That has to change for peace.

The Grand Mufti actually allied himself with Hitler, blocked refugees, and proposed solving "the Jewish question" in Arab states in the same way it was solved in Germany.
Jews were already living there. There was already a Jewish homeland planned alongside an Arab one. The Grand Mufti, a raving anti-semite, tried to prevent that by allying with Hitler.

By 1944, he was publicly telling his followers to "Kill the Jews wherever you find them"
To add: The Balfour Declaration was in 1917. While the Holocaust further reenforced the need for it, it's simply a myth spread by anti-Semites that the Jewish homeland was established to make up for the Holocaust. Jews had been living there & seeking a state for a long time.

Achieving that type of success is something people should aspire to, not something to be demonized as "not good for society". Every single society/country has ultra rich. AOC's ideal society will simply shift who is in that group from those who create to those who take power.
What society didn't have ultra rich? Kings didn't live like peasants. Dictators in Communist countries (which AOC wants to imitate) are all ultra-rich compared to regular people. They simply get that way by seizing their wealth. While in America, most of the rich create wealth.
That wealth creation is what allows America to have a thriving middle-class. It's what allows the poor in America to live better than 95% of people around the world and gives them opportunity to move up.

AOC wants to be able to take/use what others create.

I'm going to post a bunch of questions I wish I had been asked in this context, years ago. This is not diagnosis! But it's instructive.
Do you need a lot of time alone? Even in a relationship or family, even when you really love the other people in your life, even (especially?) when there isn't anything particularly pressing for you to do?
Do loud noises cause you distress? Or background sounds that won't quiet stop? Do you prefer to keep the lights off? Are there foods you can't eat or fabrics you can't wear because the textures just "feel bad" in a way you can't explain?
