Today is #WorldOvarianCancerDay
My mother-in-law was diagnosed with ovarian cancer when she was 52.
She didn't have a gynecologist. Didn't get routine pelvics. When the symptoms first started, she ignored them.

In retrospect, she carried it a bit differently though. It was localized bloating not ordinary weight gain.

That rate drops sharply the later it is diagnosed.
By the time my MIL was diagnosed, she was well into Stage III - both ovaries and other proximal organs involved.
If we had only known the signs.

On what would have been her next b-day, I donated my wedding band to the support group that cared for her. It was a way to honor her memory.
Learning the signs and helping me share them would mean the world to me.
