Some of what we’re labeling #outrage culture is cynicism but some it is the discomfort of having to seriously hear the voices of groups we’ve always been able to comfortably ignore.

Discomfort isn’t always a bad thing, y’all.
Many of us have only known homogeneous culture where we’ve worked, played, & lived.

Social networking has completely shattered that.
If we’re honest certain groups have never needed to take head to marginalized given their ability to insulate themselves via neighborhoods, schools, & economics, that’s no longer possible if you plan on frequenting social networks.
IMO this is somewhat of an unexpected opportunity to learn the voice of our neighbors & seek to build more meaningful relationship, where appropriate.
I think Social networking has revealed something very surprising....that many groups lack Emotional & Relational intelligence.
When under scrutiny assert persecution instead of introspection. In the words of @LisaVFields we need “More conversation, less debates.”
*our entire lives
Life on social networks will demand we either grow in empathy & emotional intelligence or grow more militant and tribal. This may spins a little harsh but it’s actually an opportunity to grow in ways we’ve never imagined.

If you find yourself mostly experiencing outrage online it could be beneficial to meet with a life coach to help you personally sort through internal trauma buildabetterus.com/book-a-coach/
