This is the key point that continues to be ignored in corporate media reports on Assange: He was willing to go to Sweden and participate in the investigation (although he was not charged) — BUT Britain and Sweden refused to protect him from US extradition
In fact, Swedish prosecutors tried to drop extradition proceedings against Julian Assange as early as 2013 (they finally dropped them in 2017), but the *British government pressured them to continue*!
